Everything You'll Ever Need To Know About Sir Shane
Why do you reckon he's so good?? I hear you asking .......well, if you are one of the poor deprived people who know nothing about this God, you better get reading, for your own sake!
Shane Heal is possibly the best Australian basketballer ever. He is only small compared to the others in the game; but this doesn't stop him playing so well what is generally known as a tall persons sport.   He is an excellent point guard and the highlight of his game is his massive three pointers. If you see Shane Heal get the ball from anywhere outside (half court even!), you better be marking up real close, because this guy is a dead eye shot.  Shane Heal is a hero to many basketballers (including me) who aren't as large as some of the opponents, as he has proven to us all, that size doesn't matter, and small players can actually play better.  This man is such an inspiration to all aspiring guards out there who get pushed around by the big centres and we all thank him very much! "THANKS SHANE!"

Heal then went to Geelong with coach Barry Barnes, until 1992 when he returned to Brisbane Bullets.
He  transferred to Sydney Kings because the coach was apparently going around saying things
about people behind their backs.
Heal told his coach that he didn't respect him as a person and so couldn't respect him as a coach.
The Bullets then gave Heal a release so he could start over.
In 1996 Heal joined the Sydney Kings and took them through to the finals.

PHYSICAL:-  Shane Heal has blond hair and blue eyes - although with the new short haircut, his hair isn't looking so blonde anymore!
He is only short compared to the 7 foot something basketball players around the globe, but being short has probably helped him get where he is today, as he stands out
as exceptional when he shows up the taller players.
WIFE:- Jenny
KIDS:- Ashleigh and Jaime-Lee.
PRE-GAME ROUTINE:-Train, eat sleep, shoot, stretch play.

MOTIVATION:-Winning
AMBITIONS:-To become a triple olympian, and win an NBL title.
MOTTO:-You only get out of life what you put in!
INTERESTING FACTS:- If AFL was played internationally and you could represent your country for it Shane Heal might never have been the spectacular basketballer we all know and love him for today.
When he was young he tossed up between AFL and basketball, and chose basketball because you can't represent your country in AFL, and his ultimate dream was to represent Australia.
His most embarressing moment on court was playing in a game Australia v. New Zealand with his pants on back to front.
For some strange and unexplainable reason the place that Shane Heal would like to be a fly on the wall is Roseanne Barrs bathroom... hmmmm....
